    Hands down…Failing to set personal boundaries emotionally, relationally, time-wise, etc.

    I think a lot of pastors make these mistakes…

    1. Hire a person on their staff for the wrong reasons (ex. hiring a children’s pastor because they work really well with children).
    2. Ignore small issues…that later turn into larger ones.
    3. Try to please their congregation too much
    4. Try to be “hip” and different…to a point where it compromises the real message
    5. Sets non realistic goals on real people/staff
    6. Hogs the stage…and doesn’t let others speak from the pulpit
    7. Forget that running a church is essentially like running a business (Pastors should take a Business 101 class…a marketing class…)
