Who Are These Guys: How to record a podcast on your mac with skype on the cheap!
Well, I tried to put a tutorial together here as a blog post, but I couldn’t get the images to format right and all that stuff. BUT, I just went ahead and created an E-Book on the subject of How to record a podcast on your Mac on the Cheap!
Let me know what you think, it is my first ebook, but I think it isn’t to shabby!
(Oh, and share this with a bunch of people, blog about it or whatever, fun!)

Ok since another Chris commented, I will start leaving my last initial for Walker. Not that it matters if my full name is on here because you can google me all day and find lots of famous people other than me.
Interestingly enough my Google Reader is still picking up your attempt at the blog post and I can see the images no problem. I got some error on the ebook, but it could be a work network thing. They like to block stuff.
You lost me at step 1 - ‘Buy a Mac’ Yes I am a PC guy although I do have a lot of respect for the Macs. I hated the 20 year old ones I was forced to use in college occasionally. But they were free too. If I ever have a lot of cash to blow, I might just buy one to have around for the cool stuff that only works on Macs.
I have setup a podcast, but never really used it as a podcast is in great need of content and subscribers. I have not tried the remote deal, but just USB mic and sound recorder on location. Unfortunately its hard to find a free mp3 editor for PC. I have a version of Easy CD Creator which has a sound editor that will do mp3. I did the direct upload to Itunes, but have found that Wordpress makes it easier to publish your podcast, although I have not used it yet. I believe that is what you are using for this podcast, correct?
I am past the setup part, which can get complicated depending on what route you take. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on how to use a podcast within a youth ministry as far as content and attracting subscribers. I am a bigger technerd than my students and have a hard time just getting them to read the blog I have setup let alone listen to a podcast. I have some ideas, but have never put any into action yet. I am looking at setting up a blog/podcast such as this to start in the Fall and try to get them plugged in from day 1. This would give me the summer to play. I like the look of Wordpress so I will probably go that way when I begin setting this up.
We are up to 6 votes now. I am down to 16% of the vote.

there is a plugin for Wordpress called podPress that is pure gold when it comes to uploading and organizing your podcasts. before that I used a mac program called “Feeder”, but I believe Josh uses “Feedforall” on the PC.
Actually we should have Josh do an ebook on how he has done podcasts on the pc.
OH, and there is a free sound editing program that works on mac and pc that a lot of podcasters really like, it is called Audacity. People seem to really like it and it is open source.
