Courage

It takes incredible courage to be a good leader. The courage to act in humility. The courage to treat people with respect, even in the midst of conflict. The courage to say a hard thing IN THE RIGHT WAY, and in love. The courage to deal with criticism. The courage to own up to your mistakes, especially when they have implications for other people. The courage to speak the truth behind your decisions, even if you know it doesn’t sound good.

I don’t know that there are a lot of leaders who stand in that sort of courage consistently, but the ones that I have seen I would follow anywhere, and I bet you would to…

You’re absolutely right about Courage. One thing that I’ve learned about courage, is that it is a major ingredient that it is expected to ensured longevity and blessings to those whose heart is faithful to God. Courage isn’t just displayed through actions of faith and boldness, it’s a HEART thing. God gives us authority and gifts according to our desires and courage; Which means that we don’t necessarily have to have experience in a particular area, but to have the courage to do so. His hand will do the rest of the work, so that he can show himself strong through and in us. When ever there is a willing heart, His power is sure to follow. It takes courage alone to take on the responsibility of leadership because we are then held accountable to God for the success of their relationships with him. We become (sometimes) the only Bible that they know and God’s Earthly Ambassadors. In every Courageous leader, is the attachment of love, patience, integrity, responsibility, and Faithfulness.
