Are you using a specific plugin through Wordpress for the gallery. I see there are a few automatics in Fantastico, but I know that there are others for Flickr and such. Just curious if you were using a built in one or another.
Also is it easy to place pics in blogs for someone like my wife who is used to the blogger easy insert?

I am using a plugin for the pictures called “NextGen Gallery”. This is the first time I have used it, but it seems to work well. It is missing something for the slideshow feature, so I need to figure that one out.
As far as the quick insert, WordPress does have the ability to insert photos, but it isn’t quite as simple as blogger. You have upload it in the prompt under the field for the body of a post. Then you insert it, a little weird to get the hang of, but once you get it - it is fine.

I found the missing piece for the slideshow option if you haven’t found it. You need the Flashimagerotator.swf.
